Senate voted to overturn the Stream Protection Rule.

Cheshire, Ohio shows how the creek that runs close to the Gavin power plant Cheshire is threatened by the plant’s enormous coal ash waste site. Residents and environmentalists are concerned about this and come out to an EPA hearing on a proposed expansion of the waste site to voice their concerns. Unfortunately the plant’s proposal is approved. If this stream protection rule is indeed overturned (and Congress may also want to overturn the Clean Water Rule) our streams will not be protected by harmful pollution. Let’s hope this administration chooses to keep our waters clean and not undo years of hard work to create these rules to protect our streams and all of the aquatic life that thrives in them.
